EXTRAS:
From the book "The Martian", by Andy Weir. The author, at first, simply published the novel for free on his blog.
Both the book and the novel have the merit of being scientifically very accurate. The only 'liberty' the author took was on how distructive a storm on Mars can be; in the book/film, it causes serious damage and it's actually a major plot-point, when in reality, due to the very low atmospheric pressure on the planet, it wouldn't do much more than ruffle your hair.
